PURPOSE: The primary purpose of the Missions Ministry is to give opportunity for salvation of souls in the U. S. or foreign fields where simple New Testament Christianity is little known or unknown. Secondary purposes include assisting and encouraging brethren in mission fields, stimulating greater interest and better involvement in mission fields by our members, and arousing a greater consciousness of the value of souls, not only in mission areas, but in our own community.

MOTIVATION: "And He said to them, 'Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all creation. He who believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. "' Mark 16:15 -16 NASB

RESPONSIBILITIES: The deacon assigned to this ministry will serve as chairman of the Missions Committee, which has the following duties and responsibilities:
1 . Overall responsibility of mission areas.
2. Hold monthly committee meetings for evaluation and planning.
3. Submit minutes of the committee meetings to the elders for their information and meet with the elders periodically for exchange of information.
4. Lead souls to Christ and be instrumental in encouraging others to do so.
5. Review requests for assistance and grant small requests, where deemed worthy and budget allows.
6. Investigate and recommend opportunities for major involvement in new mission efforts.
7. Insert "Mission Missive" article in the bulletin each week.
8. Obtain regular reports from mission areas supported by Concord Road.
9. Provide Concord Road members opportunities to take part in work in mission areas.
10. Visit mission congregations largely supported by Concord Road.
11. Plan and arrange for all mission points to be represented at our annual Ministry Fair.
12. Work with the Youth Minister to gain youth involvement in Concord Road mission efforts.
